I began playing music at the age of 6 & my journey into the world of professional music-making began while studying clarinet performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I obtained Masters degree with Distinction.
Clarinet: Over the last 25 years I have been lucky enough to work with all the major professional orchestras in Ireland and Scotland. Since moving home in 2004 I have worked with the RTE Concert Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, the Ulster Orchestra, Belfast Ensemble, and as Principal clarinet with the Orchestra of Opera Northern Ireland. Harp: In recent years I have developed a special relationship with the harp, one borne out of a personal interest in my family name, storytelling, and heritage. The harp (& lyre) have enabled me to express myself in new ways, & exploring different musical languages. As well as using the harp to enhance my storytelling, I also perform at a wide range of events and in community, therapeutic & healthcare settings. I've performed at the Stendhal Festival, the Red Sails Festival, the YARN Storytelling Festival, the Newry Arts Festival, the FADO FADO Festival, & the Fiddler's Green Festival. Composition: I have always been inspired by nature and heritage, & began to publish my music in 2023. To find out more about my work, please click on the button below.

In 2024 I received support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland & the Department for Communities, which enabled me to purchase a beautiful new harp. Click the button below to find out more. |
